Michael Browne, whose Kosta Browne Pinot Noirs have made Wine Spectator’s Top 100 List six of the last seven years – including Wine of the Year (WOTY) in 2011 – is launching a new luxury pinot noir label focused on his estate vineyards in the Russian River Valley. It’s called CIRQ in homage to the time his great grandfather spent in the circus and all of the hard work, practice and dedication that goes into producing a show. This process is very similar to what it takes to grow and produce wine. 2011 will be the inaugural vintage of CIRQ. The wine will be offered in the Fall 2013 and released in the Spring of 2014. Production is extremely limited.
